Love for Rent Based on a True Story About an Exotic Dancer and an Ivy League Professor (Audible Audio Edition) M2 Books
This story is about SO MUCH MORE than what its simple title implies! I read the preview and had to buy the book. I had to read this in one sitting! This passionate tale of self-discovery and human foibles NEEDS to be read at one sitting. Its plain language and honest imagery make this hard to put down. In spite of its necessary and occasional hardness, yet there is a profound kindness and gentleness inherent to the sadness and continual struggle as the characters seek to make their livings and to find peace, intimacy, and love.Touching our hearts, minds, and spirits with her honest portrayal of how many people struggle with relationships, M2 has given us a glimpse into some of the torment and urgency that fuel the choices that many of us make throughout our lives, even leading some to question the things we allow that drive us to our choices. While some readers may spurn this narrative for its occasionally graphic images, I found its honest exploration of our hopes and fears to really be about love, intimacy, and whether we decide to put faith into action. I felt as if the author knew the characters personally and was telling this directly to me. I found this story highly reminiscent of and resonant with my love of the movie Dr. Zhivago, in which I fretted, impassioned, with him, about the struggles and the lengths to which he went to try to love two women, besides his own agonizing fight for survival. In Love For Rent, as in Dr. Zhivago, I have seen many of my own victories and shortcomings in life. In the end, it is not the wine or passion that can claim victory in our lives, but our honesty with ourselves, that leads us to the age old answer that we are responsible for our decisions and how we respond to the things with which we are faced in life. I salute the author on this tale well told.

Love for Rent Based on a True Story About an Exotic Dancer and an Ivy League Professor (Audible Audio Edition) M2 Books Reviews
I read the first two chapters and I am buying it. Its great the book captures you in the first two chapters. will definitely be buying this.
I happen to know the author to a degree, as well as the Amanda person below whose entire personal library requires a crayon. Amanda means well in posting a positive review for this laudable first stab at the English language. Having attempted to read it myself though, I could get through no more than page 4 before I simply gave up trying to navigate through the author's minefield of deplorable grammar, spelling and syntax. I'm sure the intent was there to tell a story, which I've been told is autobiographical to a degree. However, instead of it being an engaging read, I found myself having flashbacks to one of my Aunt Edna's interminable slide shows of blurry vacation pics with no potty breaks. No thank you.
Save yourself the $10, or better yet donate it to AA.org on M2's behalf.
This is a fun book to read. You never know where Molly's life will take her next. I like a descriptive narrative and Love for Rent is that type of book. The reader can't help but feel sympathetic to Molly and feel involved in the complex choices she makes. I recommend it, maybe as a beach read.
The Author puts you right in the life of Molly. You feel all her emotions. I really felt as if I was an observer in the Kit Kat Klub. I've never read anything like this before and found myself gripped from the moment Molly sits down with her first Customer. I found myself wanting to keep reading and turning the pages to see what happens next to Molly.
I would recommend this book to anyone, it is well written and highly descriptive. Very passionate. 5 stars.
This novel, at least after reading the initial chapters, reveals the dance many of us do. No, not dancing naked or meeting a married professor but rather the dance between reality and fantasy or the line that gets drawn taught held by our culture, our dreams and the reality that is life!
M2, keeps the reader wondering, is this her story or her dream......then again, the energy and steam that was shared and felt by me initiated deep breaths followed by bated ones......followed by desire for more.
Living a fantasy, dreaming a reality with life's bruises is the essence of good writing!
The intial chapters pulled me in with her open arms holding me captive for what opens next to me!
This is the work of a talented author. Direct, concise prose style and the ability to immerse the reader in her world. You get the feeling you really know these people . A look inside a world most of us never see, and the minds of those who live in it.
Intelligently written but needs some focus and literary content. It reads like a "told by" autobiography which it is, but it needs more literary content. She's smart but needs some coaching from writers / editors.
